IMMAGINA is the Festival of illustrated stories, where you can meet books full of pictures and embark on a journey of discovery.
It is a dream that takes shape in Lucca every year with new ideas, perspectives and ambitions: three days dedicated to the power of stories as an engine for change, intimate, personal and collective.
With this App we want to give the possibility to live this experience in an even more complete and in-depth way.Every year IMAGINA chooses a theme, unusual or curious, and tries to investigate it, prying into all its nooks and crannies.
We build an intriguing discourse around it and to do so we look for illustrated books, for various reasons:- they are mostly synthetic, in a reasonable number of pages they deal with an issue in an interesting way;- they are incomplete, some more or less give space to the reader in the complete composition of the story, willingly accepting that everyone can make it their own;- they are welcoming, precisely because of the previous assumption they trigger a very intimate emotional relationship, an inner relationship that leaves room for wonder;- they are contagious, those who experience sincere wonder cant wait to tell it and the illustrated book becomes a condensed emotion to share;- they are fabulous, three-dimensional, tangible objects and carry all their aesthetics from the first moment, starting the story even before opening it.Basically, at IMAGINA, books are the means, not the end: they are the boat with which you can move in a stormy or calm, dark or emerald sea and with which you can reach extraordinary islands where you can make incredible discoveries about yourself and your friends.

Every day we create new ones, we expand the past ones, we tell them in many ways and in different formats: books, music, objects, films, gestures, fashions, visual representations and many other supports create environments that we go to inhabit with the mind and with the body.This App is a new place to discover new stories.
